Equestrian Art and Horse Paintings

My favourite subject to paint and draw is horses..... big cobs, dainty Arabians, sleek thoroughbreds, shaggy shetlands.... the list is endless!
My work is becoming more concerned with the capture of light in combination with the horse; how the velvety shine gleams in the sun, the pure white coat turning to a heady blue in the shadows.... I am starting using more and more colour in my work, celebrating the form of, and my love of the horse...

If I was asked for my favourite horse type to paint, I'd probably say a curvaceous Spanish grey, or maybe a gleaming tall dark bay, or even an alert delicate Arab....
