If I do not cover the answer to your question, please just email me at [email protected] and I will be happy to help you.....
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PRODUCE A PAINTING?
A minimum of 3 weeks working time for deadlines. The time taken on a single painting depends on complexity and size... smaller works can be 6-12 hours, larger works may take from 30-40 + hours to complete....
HOW DO I DECIDE WHAT SIZE OF PAINTING I WANT?
Go by your wall space available and size of animal. A Jack Russel should not be painted larger than life size, so I suggest 10 x 12" max for a small dog. A large horse could be any size.......
DO I HAVE TO COLLECT OR CAN YOU POST THE FINISHED PAINTING?
I am happy to post the completed work and prefer recorded/special delivery. I have never had any problems with this service in almost 20yrs, and am very careful to pack the painting securely and not skimp on the rigid heavy card I use to ensure that the painting arrives with you in perfect condition...
WHAT IF IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE MY ANIMAL?
I offer no obligation to purchase the end portrait unless 100% delighted!
WILL IT FADE?
Watercolours may fade if hung in direct sunlight, but my drawings, prints and acrylic paintings will not fade however long you hang them, even in direct sunlight...
CAN YOU MAKE GREETING CARDS FOR ME FROM MY PAINTING?
Yes, just let me know how many you require and if you want personalisation or a specific greeting specified inside!
CAN YOU CREATE A SURPRISE GIFT IN TOTAL SECRET?
No problem... just give me a 'safe' telephone number or email address and the painting will be ready for that special surprise!
CAN YOU FRAME THE PAINTING FOR ME?
Yes. I only charge what my framer invoices me and do not add any extra. They have a massive choice of styles and colours and are members of The Guild Of Master Craftsmen....
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH MEDIA TO CHOOSE?
Why not show me your photographs and I can discuss and advise accordingly...
I HAVE LOTS OF ANIMALS- CAN YOU PAINT THEM ALL ON ONE PORTRAT??
My hightest number of animals on one painting so far is 12.... this is not a challenge to beat this!!! The painting was for a dog breeder who wanted the last 20 years of her stud dogs and breeding bitches portrayed on canvas... I think we are safe for up to 8-10..... The more animals, the bigger the portrait though!
